The Falco Hawkfish, also known as the Spotted Hawkfish, makes for an active and unique addition to any aquarium. The body is white with vertical spotted patterning in various shades of red. Interestingly, the dorsal spines are each topped with a set of frills called cirri, which give this small hawkfish its unique appearance.
Falco Hawkfish grow to a maximum size of 3 inches, and may be kept in aquariums of 30 gallons or more. Like most hawkfish, this species is easy to keep, semi-aggressive, and predatory, making it incompatible with most invertebrates such as shrimp and crabs. However, they are generally considered to be safe with coral.
Like other hawkfish, Falco Hawkfish should be supplied with a diet rich in meats frozen foods.
