Product Description

The royal gramma is a classic recommendation for beginner fish in the marine aquarium hobby. The front half of their in a deep purple with the rear a bright yellow, and a speckled transition area in between. The face has a distinct black eye-line, and there's a nearly perfect black circle on the dorsal fin. This species was made moderately famous for being featured in Finding Nemo as gurgle, the cowardly member of the tank gang.    

Care

The royal gramma grown to a maximum size of 3", and spends most of its time swimming among the rock searching from food and hiding from larger predators. As such, it makes a great addition to smaller tanks of around 30 gallons. They're a hardy and reef safe species, and are generally peaceful excluding other basslets.   

Diet

Royal grammas have no special feeding considerations, and will readily accept most meaty frozen or dry prepared foods.
